Ramsgate: Liam Bayliss charged following High Street assault

A man has been charged after a man suffered a serious head injury in an alleged assault.
An investigation was launched after police were called to a disturbance in Ramsgate High Street at about 2am on Saturday.
A man in his 20s was transferred to a London hospital from local hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Ramsgate High Street was sealed off by police for almost 12 hours following the attack.
Homeless Liam Bayliss has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 24-year-old remains in custody and is due to appear via virtual link at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the disturbance, and in particular want to speak to anyone who thinks they may have been approached in Harbour Street before the incident.
