A 22-year-old has been charged with possession and intent to supply heroin and cocaine.

Mahadi Ahmed was arrested yesterday as part of police initiative Operation Raptor.

It is aimed at preventing and disrupting violent crime of the supply of class a drugs.

A police spokesman said: "Drugs ruin lives and we take a zero-tolerance approach with those who seek to benefit from the misery of others."
