Ramsgate man charged on suspicion of sending offensive or threatening message to Thanet South MP Craig Mackinlay

Police have charged a man with sending 'menacing communications' after a Kent MP received a Facebook message featuring images of a gun and a knife.
The offensive material was allegedly posted on Thanet South MP Craig Mackinlay's Facebook page last weekend.
Mark Verier, 28, of High Street, Ramsgate, has been charged with one count of sending offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing communications.
The message was reported to police on Wednesday, June 22.
A police spokesman said: "Officers investigating a report of threatening or offensive communications made on a social media post dated June 18, have charged a Ramsgate man."
Verier has been bailed to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on August 11.
