Ramsgate: Ryan Diggins charged with attempted robbery

A 23-year-old man is to appear in crown court after a man was shot in the neck during an attempted robbery.
Shortly after 1.30pm on Wednesday last week, police were called to the report of a robbery in Ramsgate High Street.
Firearms officers were called to the town centre and a man was arrested.
Nothing was reported stolen. A man in his 20s was taken to a local hospital with an injury to his neck.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses, and ask anyone with information about the incident to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/6662/18.
Ryan Diggins of Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate, was arrested and charged with attempted robbery and having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.
He appeared via virtual link at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, February 10, where he was remanded.
The case will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, March 12.
A 24-year-old man who was arrested on Wednesday, February 7 in connection with the incident has been released without charge.
