A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at a house in Margate.
Mum-of-three Samantha Murphy was named by her family as the victim of the incident in Elfrida Close.
Officers and paramedics were called to the scene at about 3.10am on Saturday where they found a woman with stab wounds.
She was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Forensic teams were seen at the home in Elfrida Close and at a home in West Dumpton Lane, Ramsgate.
Police have now confirmed 38-year-old Thomas Allen, of Elfrida Close, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Kelsie Murphy, 26, of West Dumpton Lane, Ramsgate, has been charged with assisting an offender.
Both defendants are due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.
Samantha's niece, Megan Murphy, has launched a fundraiser to help her children pay for her funeral.
Megan wrote that the family "don't know exactly what happened yet" but wants to give Samantha a "beautiful send-off".
"Please keep our broken family in your hearts, especially my baby cousins," she added.
Samantha leaves behind three children aged nine, 14 and 22.
