Man dies in roundabout crash on the A299 Thanet Way near Ramsgate

A man has died after his car crashed into the Minster roundabout near Ramsgate.
Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were called to the smash near the Holiday Inn Express in Hengist Way, at the junction with Tothill Street, at about 10.30 last night.
The victim, aged in his 40s, died at the scene.
He was travelling from Broadstairs towards Herne Bay when his blue Audi A4 came off the road and crashed.
Police closed the road for several hours while they dealt with the crash scene and traffic was diverted.
It is understood firefighters left the scene at about 1.30am.
A spokesman for police said: "Kent Police were called at 10.31pm on Monday, November 21 to a report that a car was involved in a collision with a roundabout on the A299 at the junction with Tothill Street and Minster roundabout.
"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
