A man has been found dead after police were called to a residential street in a seaside town.

Police say they attended the Newcastle Hill area in Ramsgate, in the early hours of the morning.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “At 3.15am on Sunday 10 September 2023, Kent Police was called to a report of concern for the welfare of a man near Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate.

“Officers attended the scene where a man was found deceased. His next of kin are aware.

“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
