A man has been taken to hospital after a fight broke out during a family party.
Police were called to the brawl at The Arch Bar in Military Road, Ramsgate, at about 9.05pm yesterday.
Officers arrived and a person in his 30s was taken to hospital.
Owner Myles Wiseman told KentOnline that the incident occurred during a "family party".
“At about 9pm one chap went for another at the bar. I don't know why it happened," he added.
An eyewitness described the incident at the £23-a-head party as a "fairly serious assault".
But police say his injuries are understood not to be life-threatening.
Mr Wiseman says members of staff shut the harbour after the fight and reopened it at about 10pm.
"I've been running the bar for seven-and-a-half years and this is the first problem we've had," he added.
“We’re trying to make a living here. It's something we're not happy about at all. I’m really, really annoyed – it absolutely irks me."
Officers' enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
