Gang attack in Ramsgate leaves man needing hospital treatment

A man in his 50s needed hospital treatment after he was hit and kicked to the ground by a gang of young people.
The brutal attack happened at about 8pm on Good Friday, as the victim walked near Nelson Crescent on Ramsgate seafront.
He was reportedly hit and kicked to the floor by a group of young people who had previously been seen in nearby shelters.
The man's pockets were also searched during the assault.
He sustained injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Police are now investigating the incident, which is being treated as an attempted robbery.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who has information regarding the incident, or who has CCTV in the area.
