A man has been arrested for allegedly trespassing on the tracks at Margate railway station.
He had reportedly previously evaded police capture, despite helicopters being called in to search for him, and made off on the line towards Broadstairs.
Police were called at about 4pm yesterday, and British Transport Police tried to talk to the man but he walked off on the tracks.
Network Rail turned off power at the station and Southeastern train services were brought to a standstill.
British Transport Police tweeted: "Following an earlier trespass incident at Margate, we’ve arrested a male on suspicion of obstructing the railway.
"Officers are continuing their enquiries."
