Man stabbed during alley attack near Margate train station

A man was stabbed during a robbery in an alleyway.
The victim was walking between Garfield Road and Crescent Road near Margate train station when the attacker struck.
Detectives are now appealing for information from the public in connection with the assault on Sunday morning.
The victim, aged 32, had a phone stolen and several other items taken by the suspect who was reported to run away towards Garfield Road - away from the railway station.
A police spokesman said: "The suspect is described as being white, slim and about 5ft 7in, wearing a black hooded top, tracksuit bottoms and a scarf around his face.
"Officers attended and are continuing to carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Police confirmed the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
