A Tesco Metro store was taped off by police after a man was stabbed.

Emergency services were called to the store at about 2pm following the report of an assault outside the supermarket.

A man has been taken to a London hospital.

It is believed the victim and offender were known to one another.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Several officers were at the scene and part of the branch was sealed off.

The Tesco did not closed.
