Man charged after 24-hour rooftop protest in Cliftonville, Margate

A man appeared in court after a 24-hour rooftop drama in Margate earlier this week.
Artur Napierkowski has been charged with 14 offences, including making threats to kill and criminal damage.
The 30-year-old of Northdown Road, Cliftonville, was arrested after police were called following reports that a man had climbed onto the top of a building on the corner of Ethelbert Road at 2.18am on Monday morning.

He has been charged with possession of cocaine, assault, affray, making threats to kill, two counts of assault with intent to resist arrest, wounding with intent, criminal damage to a roof, window and skylight, criminal damage to various parts of a property in Northdown Road, criminal damage to a window, three counts of criminal damage to cars, and theft of a laptop and mobile phone.

He was remanded in custody and appeared via video link in Medway Magistrates Court today.
