Thieves stole an antique bronze and marble sculpture crafted by one of Europe’s most famous artists – Salvador Dali.
The limited edition menorah was snatched from a Broadstairs home along with precious jewels and other valuables.
The Spanish artist, best known for his surrealist paintings, created over 100 gilt bronze menorahs around 1980.
The piece stolen from the Thanet property is reported to be around 60cm in height.
Police say the thieves broke into the house on Albion Street sometime between 2.30pm on Sunday 31 December 2023 and 10am on Friday 5 January 2024.
They are now appealing for the public’s help as they look to secure the stolen property and arrest those responsible.
A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information about the burglary or the missing items, or has private CCTV footage taken in the area which might assist officers, is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/2639/24.”
