Ramsgate man's face cut with knife in Avenue Road burglary

A man's face was cut with a knife after two thugs stormed into a home and demanded cash.

Police have launched a probe into the aggravated burglary which happened at about 8.30pm yesterday in Avenue Road, Ramsgate.

Detectives say the raiders entered the house armed with knives, telling the occupants to hand over money.

"One of the victims was assaulted, and received minors cuts to his face and neck," a spokesman said.

"Officers attended the scene and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident."

Investigators confirmed the suspects had knives, but enquiries are ongoing to "establish if anything was stolen".

The force could not provide any further details on the incident, including how many people were in the home at the time of the incident or descriptions of the suspects.
