Thanet footballer Mike Thalassitis faced the boot from Love Island for a second time tonight.
The Margate FC striker was given his marching orders from the hit reality show just days after re-entering the villa.
Dubbed ‘Muggy Mike’ by fellow contestants because of his womanising antics, the 24-year-old won few fans among viewers.
And with the public having voted, putting the least popular couple at risk of eviction, Mike and new squeeze Tyla Carr were prime candidates for the axe.
In a tense reveal of the votes, Mike and Tyla were dumped from the villa tonight.
Goalscorer Mike had originally been kicked off the show after becoming embroiled in a love triangle with housemates Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes.
But in a shock twist he was given a second chance at love last week after a public vote threw him and Sam Gowland back into the villa.
It had earlier emerged Mike had not let Margate FC manager Steve Watt know he was jetting off to Majorca when he first appeared on the show.
But club chairman Alistair Bayliss says the striker, who last year signed a new one-year deal, is very much part of their plans for the upcoming season.
Commenting on the striker’s second Love Island stint, he said: “As a club we would never want to stand in the way of a personal opportunity of this magnitude.
“We are looking forward to having Mike back with us and being part of what we hope to be a very successful season for Margate Football Club.”
