Two men wearing black masks demanded cash from a post office worker during a robbery in St Nicholas-at-Wade.

The raiders - who are thought to have had two accomplices waiting outside the branch in The Length - fled with cash shortly after 12.40pm on Friday.

DC Richard Cordery says the village was bustling at the time and has appealed for witness, or anyone with dashcam footage, to contact police.

The two masked men are described as white and in their late 20s to early 30s.

One was 5ft 10ins tall and had broad shoulders. The other was 6ft tall and of a slight build. They both had local accents.

All four men are believed to have been wearing light-coloured tracksuits. No weapons are reported to have been seen.

DC Cordery said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw a silver BMW 325, 51 plate, parked nearby.

“We are also keen to speak to people on the bus heading for Margate which stopped at Sarre at about 12.50pm, as they could have important information that could help our enquiry.”
