People have been trying to guess the identity of a mystery "star" who has been spotted filming on the Kent coast.

Footage captured at dusk today shows the blonde-haired person dancing around a blue classic car in the lido car park on Margate seafront.

They appear to be singing to a camera.

The video has sparked much speculation - with some saying it could even be Grammy and Oscar-winning singer and actress Lady Gaga, who lives in the US.

Others have said the dancer bears a striking resemblance to British singer Paloma Faith, who filmed in the town on a previous occasion last year.

The footage shows about seven people watching intently, while a cameraman films the dancer them with a hefty-looking camera.

A large film crew is also currently based in Margate, where they are believed to be filming part of a new British crime drama.
