Aldi is set to open a new store in Kent next month.
The supermarket giant will launch the branch in Hardres Road, Ramsgate, replacing the existing store in nearby Boundary Road.
Aldi bosses said the existing supermarket, which opened more than 20 years ago and has 70 parking spaces, is now too small for the number of customers.
The plans were given the go-ahead by Thanet District Council last year.
The new store will be 1,900 sq m, with 118 parking spaces and a new vehicle access onto Hardres Road with pedestrian access onto St Luke's Avenue.
It will be run by store manager Darryn Stacey and will have a team of 32 people.
They will be joined by Team GB gold medallist Susannah Townsend to celebrate the store opening and cut the ribbon on December 2 at 8am.
Mr Stacey said: "We can’t wait to open the doors to the new store in Ramsgate. It’s set to be a special day and having Olympic hero Susannah Townsend join us will make it a morning to remember."
Hockey star Susannah Townsend added: "I’m so excited to be opening Aldi’s new store, it will be great to chat to customers and a lovely way for me to thank Aldi for its support of Team GB."
The store will be open from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 10pm, and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
The new Aldi store is calling on local charities and food banks in Ramsgate to register with Neighbourly, which links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community.
Charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, up to seven days a week.
Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email aldi@neighbourly.com.
