Glenn Hall, from Margate, charged after 'out-of-control dog bit baby in pram'

A man has been charged with having a dangerously out-of-control dog after a baby girl was allegedly bit as she sat in her pram.

Claire Lewis, 29, was taking 22-month-old Harleigh-Jade for a walk in Margate High Street when the dog is said to have ran up to them and bit the youngster on the hand, injuring her fingers.

Instead of stopping, the suspected owner of the dog, who had a second animal on a lead, allegedly continued towards the seafront.

Harleigh-Jade was taken to hospital with two puncture wounds, which were cleaned and dressed. She was also given antibiotics.

The alleged attack happened at 2.15pm on Monday, January 4.

In the aftermath, police issued a CCTV of a suspect, which led to the arrest of a man.

Today, Glenn Hall, 55, of Buenos Ayres in Margate, has been charged with being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out-of-control.

He will appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on Monday, March 7.
