People cut off by the tide at Stone Bay in Broadstairs rescued

Two people cut off by the tide have been rescued in the second incident at the same beach within days.

The RNLI launched at the request of the Coastguard shortly after 2pm at Stone Bay, Broadstairs, after the pair became stranded.

They were brought on board the RNLI's boat and taken to Broadstairs harbour.

It is the second times crews have been called to Stone Bay this week, after three people needed rescuing after being cut off on Monday (May 6).

The RNLI was called to the scene shortly before midday to aid an adult and two children.

They were recovered and brought to shore.

Crews are reminding people to check tide timetables before heading out.
