Birchington's Quex Park host annual Fought For Freedom Military Show and Gears of Change Classic Car Show

The past is alive at Birchington’s Quex Park this weekend.

The annual Fought For Freedom Military Show and Gears of Change Classic Car Show have combined to offer a nostalgic day out.

Visitors could be seen enjoying living history displays, re-enactments and battles.

Guests also had the chance to experience the music, food, vehicles and lifestyles of days gone by.

Alongside an impressive exhibition of military vehicles, Fought For Freedom explored other elements of war, including the Home Front and Battle of Britain war rooms.

People also discovered the realities of life in a First World War trench and paid a visit to an authentic Naafi wagon for a cup of tea.

Performers entertained with music from the 1940s to the 70s while traders offered a range of historic items for sale.

For classic car enthusiasts, Gears of Change offered a fascinating array of vehicles to admire.
