Ramsgate: Person hit by car in George Street

A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Ramsgate.

Emergency services were called to George Street shortly after 11.30am following reports of an incident involving a car and a person.

An ambulance spokesman said: "Injuries included a facial injury.

"We attended following reports of an RTC involving a car and a pedestrian shortly after 11.30am today.

"The pedestrian is being taken to hospital."

Police were also sent to the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at 11.45am.

"Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene in George Street, Ramsgate."

"A man sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

"Officers were away from the scene by 12.40pm."
