Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Mill Lane, Margate

A woman in her 70s has been hit by a car at a zebra crossing.
A spokesman for the ambulance service, Rich Airey, said she was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for "further checks" after she was treated at the scene.
Tailbacks were reported around the area following the incident at the junction of Mill Lane and Churchfield Place shortly before 9.45am.
An ambulance left the scene and drivers said the delays started to clear at around 10.50am.
Police spokesman Martin Very confirmed officers attended the incident.
