Pedestrian in critical condition after attack in King Street, Ramsgate

A pedestrian attacked in the street on Friday night is in a critical condition in hospital.
The man in his 50s suffered serious head injuries as a result of the night-time assault in King Street, Ramsgate.
Following an altercation, a driver got out of his vehicle and assaulted the pedestrian.
After being treated at the scene, the victim was taken to a London hospital where he still remains in a critical condition.
Police investigating the attack have since arrested a 26-year-old man from Margate on suspicion of assault.
He remains in custody while inquiries continue.
The attack on Friday night is thought to have happened at about 10pm.
