Pedestrian hit by car in Grange Road, Broadstairs

A pedestrian is in hospital after they were hit by a car.
The incident happened on Grange Road, Broadstairs, at about 3.20pm.
Paramedics were called and a person was taken to QEQM Hospital in Margate.
It is understood that their injuries are not serious.
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called shortly after 3.20pm to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a person in Grange Road in Broadstairs.
“Crews assessed and treated one patient at the scene before taking them to the QEQM hospital for further medical care.”
Travel information site Inrix reported heavy traffic in the area at the time, but the route has now reopened.
A police spokesman added: “Kent Police was called following a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Grange Road, Broadstairs at 3.40pm on Thursday 3 October 2024.
“Officers attended and no serious injuries were reported.”
