Person hit by train between Margate and Ramsgate

A person has been hit by a train.
There were no trains running between Ramsgate and Margate while emergency services deal with the incident.
Replacement buses have been ordered for passengers.
Power to the line was shut off but trains running between Margate and Ramsgate have since reopened.
Trains running from Ramsgate to Margate are not expected to be running again until 10pm.
Southeastern has advised people to check before they travel on the journey planner.
British Transport Police is at the scene.
Update: Fire service confirm a child was rescued after being hit.
