A missing toddler has been found walking around the streets.
Witnesses say the young boy, aged around three-years-old, was spotted earlier this morning on his own in Garlinge.
Police officers have been knocking on doors in the area around Canterbury Road in a bid to track down the youngster's parents.
They have been focussing their attempts near the Costcutter shop and The Hussar Hotel and have now identified the parents.
But officers are now carrying out inquiries to find out why the boy was out alone.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a shop in Canterbury Road, Margate at around 8.20am on Wednesday 8 May 2019 to a report of an unaccompanied young boy.
"Officers attended the scene and having spoken to the boy identified his parents.
"Initial enquiries are being carried out to determine the circumstances of this incident."
