Attack outside Ramsgate railway station leaves man with serious facial injuries

Police are trying to track down a bearded man of stocky build following a serious attack outside Ramsgate railway station.
A member of the public was walking along Station Road Approach when he witnessed an altercation between a man and a woman.
He challenged the man on his behaviour before being hit in the face, causing serious injuries.
The assault happened at about 6.30pm on Sunday, May 8.
The suspect is described as white, about 5ft, 8ins, in his late 20s, of stocky build, with dark-brown hair and a beard.
He is believed to have been wearing black trousers and a black top and was reportedly later seen in a white BMW in the town.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. They would also like to speak to the woman who was involved in the altercation with the suspect before the assault.
