Police hunt man involved in alleged knifepoint robbery in Queen Street, Ramsgate

A CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with an alleged knifepoint robbery in an arcade has been released.

The incident is believed to have taken place at an amusement arcade in Queen Street, Ramsgate.

Investigating officer PC Lucy Clarke said: "A man in dark clothing walked into the amusement arcade and threatened a male member of staff with a knife and demanded money.

"He grabbed a quantity of coins and notes and ran out of the back door of the building into Cavendish Street."

The man is described as having a local accent and was wearing a women's scarf covering his mouth and nose at the time of the robbery which happened on Friday, April 15, at 5.20am.

He also wore black tracksuit bottoms, a dark-coloured hoodie with light pull cords, a goggle jacket with the hood up, turquoise/grey trainers and gloves.

PC Clarke said: "We believe that on his way to the arcade the suspect may have walked past a man waiting in Queen Street.

"We would also like to speak to this man as he could have important information that could help our investigation."
