Canterbury Road in Margate closed by police after person hit by car

Police shut a road this morning after a person was hit by a car.
Canterbury Road in Margate was closed in both directions between Royal Crescent and Hartsdown Road after the incident at about 6.45am.
Police were called to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian near Royal Crescent, Margate.
Officers attended with the ambulance service.
The casualty was assessed and treated for a leg injury before being taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
The road has since reopened.
