"We acted immediately and informed the police.

"The children were evacuated to our secondary evacuation point, which is the church.

"The site has since been made secure by the police and there is no longer a threat to staff or pupils."

Witnesses have described the scene as 'chaos' as parents try to pick their children up and take them home.

Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "We had been informed of a bomb threat made to a school in Ramsgate via telephone on July 1.

"Officers are currently at Minster Primary School after the incident was reported at 11.50am.

"The school took the decision to evacuate the pupils and staff to a nearby location as a precaution while the building was searched.

"Nothing suspicious was found."

The threat comes just one month after Dame Janet Academy in Ramsgate was evacuated over bomb fears.

More than 20 schools across the country were evacuated on May 27 for the same reason.
