Thousands of spectators packed Margate seafront to watch high octane thrills as the quad bike and moto-cross competitors rode into town.
For two days in glorious Spring sunshine the two and four-wheeled gladiators battled for supremacy across the resort’s famous golden sands.
Race organiser Tony Nash, who constructed the course to be a tough challenge for the season’s competition curtain-raiser, was delighted with the weekend.
He said: “The weather was fantastic, the standard of racing was out of this world, and the level of support from spectators, businesses and organisations was once again superb.
“It was one of the best weekend’s of racing we have enjoyed in Thanet and the riders really rose to the occasion, putting on a spectacle of skill, strength and stamina - riding those machines across the dunes is physically and mentally very demanding.”
