The gates of hell have opened and zombies are running riot in Margate’s Winter Gardens this Halloween.

Guests brave enough to step in should prepare for interactive experiences with an unsettling edge until the attraction closes on Saturday.

Those who think they know the ins and outs of the building will be lost and immersed into a world of zombies more than willing to get up close and bring you into the thick of the action.

Following last year’s sell-out Zombie Apocalypse attraction, three story-based thrillers – Quarantine, Buried Alive and Dead Meat – combine darkness, strobe lighting, enclosed spaces and disturbing noises.

Small groups will pass through a full-body scanner to enter Quarantine, where they will be guided by white-coated scientists attempting to control the Typhon virus – a highly infectious disease fuelling the hunger of the crazed creatures inside.

Scare actors will chase you through the darkness, making the hairs at the back of your neck stand on end.

In Buried Alive, zombies threatening to escape have been contained in a quarry where visitors will have to get on their hands and knees and crawl through a claustrophobic maze.

Taking you outside the theatre and into Margate’s cliffside maze is Dead Meat, where zombies are undergoing experimentation.

But disaster strikes, forcing guests to make a hasty escape back to the main hall.

Entertainment also includes the Bloody Boulevard with scare fair stalls, Trick or Treat street theatre, themed food and drinks, games and vendors, and the new laser zombie run zone.

Anyone pregnant or suffering from claustrophobia, any heart condition or epilepsy is strongly advised not to take part.

Three price tiers will enable the whole family to visit.

For those not wanting to do the scary attractions, a venue pass will enable you to enjoy the street theatre and fair stalls.

For hardcore scare fans, the VIP pass allows you to jump the queues and make unlimited visits to the story-based thrillers.

Those of you being dragged along feeling less enthused about the experience beforehand will soon become fully absorbed by the in-your-face experience.

There is no escaping the gruesome fact that the entertainment team at the Winter Gardens have spared no expense in making Hellgate a scream for all who dare to enter the premises.
