Police were called to the scene of an accident in Broadstairs this morning after a car ended up on its roof.

St Peter's Park Road was blocked from around 8am at the junction with Walmsley Road, leading to heavy traffic in the area.

Police spokesman Jordan Bluer said: "Kent Police was called at 8.11am to a report of a car on its roof in Walmsley Road in Broadstairs.

"Officers are currently at the scene alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

"No serious injuries have been reported. A woman and two children have been taken to a local hospital for treatment."

A road closure is in place at the scene.
