Margate: A254 Ramsgate Road closed due to crash

A busy road has reopened following a crash involving an ambulance and a car.
The collision happened on the A254 Ramsgate Road, which was shut in both directions at the junction with College Road.
The ambulance was taking a patient to hospital when it collided with a car at around 7am.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene.
Crews arrived in two fire engines, and used hydraulic equipment to help open a car door.
A woman was treated for minor injuries.
The road reopened at around 9am and traffic has since cleared.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said: “We can confirm that an ambulance was involved in a collision with a car on the A254 in Margate at approximately 7am this morning.
"The ambulance was en route to QEQM hospital with a patient. The patient was believed to be unaffected by the collision and continued their journey to hospital in another ambulance.
"A woman travelling in the car was assessed and treated and also taken to QEQM hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be serious. The crew were uninjured.”
