An announcement revealing the opening date for Dreamland's Scenic Railway is expected soon after cars were being tested on the track.
The Grade II listed ride was not ready for visitors at the park’s grand opening on June 19, but three months later work on the timber structure and car restoration appears to be complete.
The cars arrival marks another step for the park's main attraction after a rollercoaster ride to get it up and running again.
In December last year, the wooden attraction blew down in high winds and in April 2008 a major fire ravaged the iconic structure.
Built in 1920, the Scenic Railway was Britain's oldest surviving rollercoaster.
It fell into disrepair when the attraction closed in 2005 but its return to the original pleasure park looks imminent.
