Fire crews leapt into action at 10pm and were called to five different streets in Ramsgate in little more than an hour.

The fires come just three days after four other cars - three of them in the seaside town and the other in Broadstairs - were set alight.

Last night, fire crews were first called when a van went up in flames on the driveway of a house in Broad Street at about 10pm.

An hour later an engine was sent to nearby Camden Road following reports a car was on fire.

Dramatic video footage shared on Facebook shows the fireball lighting up the street as crews douse the flames.

Within 10 minutes, another two vehicles had been torched in Clarendon Gardens and Marlborough Road.

Shortly after, a fifth car went up in flames in Vale Square, causing damage to two others nearby.

The car - which was completely destroyed - belongs to key worker Kylie Green.

She branded those responsible "scumbags".

Police have been asked for information.
