A road has been forced to close for a week after a large sinkhole appeared.
Emergency services were sent to St James Avenue in Ramsgate after a void appeared in the carriageway at the junction with Queens Avenue.
Kent County Council have advised that it will be closed until April 25.
KCC Highways tweeted yesterday afternoon, saying: "Reports of a large sinkhole in the carriageway at the junction with St James Avenue, emergency services and a KCC representative en-route but please approach with caution.
"Road closed between the junctions of Queens Avenue and Kings Avenue from 19th April for seven days due to a sink hole opening up in the carriageway.
"The alternative route is via Queens Avenue, Newington Road and Kings Avenue and vice versa."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 3.23pm on Thursday, April 19 to report a sink hole in Queens Avenue, Ramsgate.
"Patrols attended and assisted Highways officers with a road closure."
