Police appeal for witnesses after spray can robbery in Birchington
00:00, 27 October 2015
Police have released CCTV images after a man took cash from the till and threatened a member of staff with a spray can at Betfred in Birchington.
It was reported that the man entered the bookmakers in Station Road just before 8.50pm on Wednesday.
The victim was not injured during the incident but described the suspect as a white man aged between 30 and 39 years old, of medium build and around 5ft 8ins tall.
"He had brown hair and was unshaven. He was also reportedly wearing a black beanie hat and a grey hooded top."
Detectives have now renewed their appeal for information, and released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
It comes after a similar robbery involving a spray can at a pharmacy in Herne Bay earlier this month.
Police say there is nothing to suggest the two incidents are linked.
Anyone with information or who knows the man pictured is asked to call police on 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/033154/15.
