Success and dreams lie ahead - Kent Test failure, or not.

If you have just failed your Kent Test, it is just one result: you can still succeed and achieve your dreams.
Lizzy Irvine is one such student at the Ursuline College, Westgate. Although she failed the 11 Plus, Lizzy, 16, is no failure and has gone on to succeed great things.
She did really well in her GCSEs achieving two A*s and two As in both English GCSEs, religious studies and history, as well as a distinction* in performing arts, subjects she is now pursuing in Year 12.
Lizzy said: “I did not pass my Kent Test, but the Ursuline has served me brilliantly. I am so proud. I wanted to say that you can still go on succeed and do what you want to, even if you do not pass the Kent Test.”

This year in Kent there has been a rise in the number taking the test, wiht 12,064 sitting the exam, compared to 11,451 last year - an increase of 613.
The figures indicate there could be further pressure for places in some areas, with 5,494 passing but 4,570 places available - a shortfall of 924.
