The organisers of the Music for Manston mini-festival are already planning a follow up.
The afternoon show at Manston Court Caravan park, Manston, on Saturday featured a range of bands and solo performers including Paul Messenger, Brad Pittance and the Pirates, Beggars Belief, and Jennifer Maidman and Friends.
Popular children’s activities include a bouncy castle and face painting, while community groups and TG Aviation were among stallholders.
A spokesman for Supporters of Manston Airport said: “We were very pleased with the way that it came together so successfully with such a short period of time to organise it.”
Musician Paul Messenger from Margate said: “It was an important event to demonstrate that people are still very much interested in supporting Manston which we believe has a definite future, particularly in the aftermath of the Boris Island airport fiasco.”
