Broadstairs: Cash machines damaged and cash stolen from Westwood Road
14:00, 13 March 2018
Cash machines outside a supermarket have been damaged in an early hours theft.
Two cash machines outside a store in Westwood Road, Broadstairs, were reportedly damaged and cash was stolen between 1am and 2am on Friday.
Officers are investigating the theft and reviewing CCTV.
In a similar incident on the same day, another cash machine outside a supermarket in High Street, Ramsgate, was also damaged during the early hours.
It is not yet known whether any cash was taken.
The suspects are two white men, around 5ft, 10in. They were wearing dark clothing.
One of the men was believed to be wearing a light-coloured parka coat with a fur-lined hood.
Detectives are not ruling out the possibility these are linked to three damaged cash points in Sturry Road, Canterbury, which also happened outside a supermarket on Monday, February 26 at around 2.30am.
Anyone who witnessed anything or who has information that could help is asked to call 01843 222289 quoting ZY/12211/18, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
