Suspect appears in court after 102 cannabis plants found at commercial unit in Minster near Ramsgate

A suspect has appeared in court charged in connection with cannabis cultivation after more than 100 plants were found by police.
The cannabis farm was discovered by officers at a commercial unit in Telegraph Hill, Minster, near Ramsgate on Monday.
The Thanet Multi-agency Task Force (MTF) were called to the site after receiving a report of suspicious activity in the area.
An internal structure was found which housed 102 young cannabis plants, growing equipment and living accommodation.
Florian Ruzi, of Laundry Road, Minster, was arrested and then charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis, possessing a false identity document, and dishonestly using electricity.
The 37-year-old appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he was remanded in custody.
The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
The cannabis farm was the third to be unearthed in Thanet in less than a week.
Officers were called to an outbuilding in Manston Road, Ramsgate, last Friday morning where they seized cannabis bud and cultivating equipment.
An investigation is currently ongoing into the discovery.
The day before a man was arrested following the discovery of a cannabis plantation during a raid in Margate.
Officers discovered the cultivation after being tipped-off about suspected drug use at a house in Northdown Road.
When the Thanet Multi-agency Task Force entered the property, they found a cultivation made up of between 15 and 20 mature cannabis plants, along with cultivation equipment which was also seized.
A 57-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and taken into custody. He has since been released under investigation.
