Suspected thief left injured after bag snatch at Station Road, Margate

A suspected thief was left injured after stealing a bag from inside a car.
Police are investigating the theft in Station Road, Margate, which happened yesterday at around 9.30pm.
The driver of the targetted vehicle attempted to drive away and collided with a number of parked cars before members of the public became involved and the bag was recovered.
The man who stole the bag is then reported to have got into a silver Mercedes, which was driven away from the scene.
The suspect is described as Eastern European, around 5ft 2ins, with short greying hair. He was wearing a denim jacket and brown trousers.
Police say he is thought to have injured his ankle during the incident.
