Teenager arrested in Hereson Road in Ramsgate on suspicion of drug dealing

A teenager has been arrested after police were alerted to drug dealing in Ramsgate.

Officers were on patrol in the area when they pursued a man on foot in Hereson Road in the afternoon of Thursday, January 16.

A package containing suspected Class A drugs was recovered by police at the scene.

An 18-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and has been released under investigation.

Officers would like to identify a member of the public who helped detain the man but left without speaking to patrols. They are asked to call police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/9693/20.

Witnesses who may have seen something suspicious in the area between 1pm and 1.45pm on the same day are asked to come forward as well.
