Three teenagers are in custody in connection with a stolen car that was recovered by police officers in Thanet.

Officers were patrolling Hereson Road in Ramsgate in the early hours of this morning when they recovered a car that was suspected to have been stolen yesterday.

The car was seen travelling along Hereson Road by police, and was found abandoned a short while later.

Three boys have now been arrested over the stolen car.

A 15 year old boy from Margate was arrested in the area on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and driving without insurance.

Following enquiries by officers a further two arrests have been made; a 14-year-old boy from Ramsgate, and a 15-year-old boy were also arrested in connection with the burglary.

All three teenagers currently remain in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
