Budding young chefs cooked up a storm when they entered into culinary battle for their school.

The 12 finalists of the Thanet School Recipe Challenge filled the kitchen with excitement and mouthwatering cookery smells as they took on the task.

Each pupil had to submit their own original recipe which included at least one of the Thanet Earth crops of tomatoes, peppers or cucumbers.
