Thanet has once again made it on screen, this time featuring in the third and final series of Sky Atlantic's The Tunnel: Vengeance.
Filming crews made full use of Thanet's coastline between March and July for the show, which stars Clémence Poésy and Stephen Dillane.
Production company Kudos filmed a total of 15 days in Thanet including Walpole Bay, Hawley Square in Margate, Botany Bay Broadstairs and the Port of Ramsgate.
Cllr Derek Crow-Brown, cabinet member for corporate governance service, said: "Thanet council's film office worked alongside the location team from Kudos to find the best locations for their scenes.
"We are very pleased that the crew wanted to return to the area for a third and final series.
"The amount of filming has increased over the years and it is a testament to the area that we are gaining a reputation as a film friendly region."
The latest series will begin on Thursday, December 14 at 9pm.
The Anglo-French production follows detectives Karl Roebuck and Elise Wassermann.
Thanet's film office worked with the location team to ensure the best locations for them.
But it's not the only time filming crews have taken advantage of Thanet's scenery.
Teen star Shawn Mendes featured Botany Bay, Broadstairs, as a backdrop in the video for There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, from the deluxe edition of his second album Illuminate.
With help from TDC to organise it, the clips were filmed and the video was released on Wednesday, June 21, with Mendes tweeting: “So happy you guys liked the video!!! X”.
Acting legend Sir Michael Caine enjoyed the summer sun in Margate as he shot scenes for a movie based on the Hatton Garden heist.
Sir Michael, 84, was spotted on the beach and outside the Turner Contemporary art gallery as well as other locations in the town.
In August, stars Ethan Hawke, Chris O'Dowd and Rose Byrne were seen filming in Broadstairs and Ramsgate for an adaptation of the 2009 book Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby.
