The county’s leading air and land festival returns to Palm Bay on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, with two days of thrilling free entertainment.
Youngsters at Palm Bay Junior School took time out of lessons to launch Thanet District Council’s flagship event, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year.
They’re all excited about catching a glimpse of the famous Red Arrows - the star airborne attraction at this year’s festival.
Hawk 208 Squadron, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the RAF’s impressive Typhoon fighter plane will also fill the skies during the spectacular airshow.
On the ground, entertainment will include top street performers and entertainers, a craft fair and a food village, and the fun continues into the evening with live music and a fireworks display on the Saturday.
'They Will Rock You’ - an amazingly authentic performance of Queen’s legendary live concert - headlines the musical extravaganza, accompanied by bands including Bebob Gypsies, Marylebone Jelly, Mamafeelgood and Zen Hussies.
Kent Messenger Group are proud media partners of Margate’s Big Event, which is sponsored by GSE Group and Commercial Group Properties (CGP).
The Isle of Thanet Extra and kmfm for Thanet will feature all the news, interviews and previews ahead of the big weekend.
